Visit of His Excellency, Cardinal Kurt Koch, to Stavropoleos
On Tuesday, December 2, 2013, during his official visit to our country, Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, visited Stavropoleos Monastery. Accompanied by the Romanian Ambassador to Vatican, His Eminency Mr. Bogdan Tataru-Cazaban, the apostolic nuncio in Bucharest, Francesco-Javier Lozano, the writers Andrei Plesu and Horia-Roman Patapievici, Cardinal Koch was welcomed by mother superior, stavrophore Mihaela Luchian, by Father Justin Marchis and monastic community. The guests visited the church, the monastery library and collection and had a dialogue on issues of theology, ecumenism and challenges of the contemporary world.
