New Step of Nanomach Project
A new stage of Nanomach Project for the conservation of immoveable and moveable cultural heritage was held at Stavropoleos Monastery on 14-16 May 2013. That stage consisted of the installation of samples of stone, glass, wood and plaster in a holder specially designed to provide microclimate controlled conditions. Using a meto station and an electronic measuring system, those samples are observed throughout a period of time in order to homologate a new type of consolidator that can be used in restoration. The installations required for these measurements and tests were places in the library and in the monastery courtyard. Romania is part of that project by Duct SRL Restoration Company led by Iulian Olteanu.
